Xuande is the year title of Zhu Zhanji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Xuande Emperor. During his reign, Emperor Xuande stabilized the previously strict political strategy, while power became more concentrated, and implemented a series of measures that were conducive to the development of production. In the sixth year of Xuande, Zheng He made seven voyages to the West, enhancing economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. With the prosperity and development of politics and economy, the production and manufacturing of various arts and crafts have also seen a situation where a hundred flowers compete for beauty. The famous "Yide Furnace" was a product of this period. The Xuande incense burner has rigorous material selection, exquisite craftsmanship, and elegant style. According to records, the Xuande furnace was only cast once in the third year of the Xuande reign, resulting in a total of 5000 pieces. Afterwards, the furnace was sealed and not cast. After hundreds of years, the survival of Xuande furnace is even rarer than that of a morning star. Since the 1990s, Xuande stove has become a new favorite in the Chinese art collection market after the Yixing clay teapot in Yixing. Collectors from Southeast Asian regions such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan are vying to collect at high prices. The advanced "Lost-wax casting" was adopted for the casting of Xuande furnace, and no trace of die assembly and casting mouth could be found after polishing. The furnace is divided into three parts: furnace utensils, furnace body, and furnace feet. Some furnace bodies are plain and not decorated with patterns, showcasing the beautiful and rustic copper color and solemn shape. Some use liquid gold to brush on the furnace body, and then form a "gold sheet". The "Self Treasure Collection" says: "The golden water you point is like velvet and clouds." The "gold pieces" are of alternating sizes, with the small ones appearing as stars and the large ones as flakes. If the golden "rain and snow" are combined, they will shine brightly and become rich and luxurious. The furnace feet have circular feet, round milk shaped three feet, square back shaped four feet, and other forms, which vary depending on the furnace body. The furnace wall is thick and has a heavy feeling. Xuande copper censer is standard and dignified in style. Its style mostly falls on the bottom outside the furnace, and is a rectangular Yangwen style in regular script made in the Xuande year of the Ming Dynasty, with six characters in two rows and six characters in three rows. The font is beautiful and reminiscent of the Jin and Tang dynasties. The stove is open, with a neck tied, a flat and round belly, and dragon head ears protruding from the shoulders, with a simple and elegant design. The shape of the vessel is neat and dignified. The furnace surface is sprinkled with gold all over, with smooth lines and double dragon patterns engraved on the feet. It is inscribed with six characters and three columns of regular script in Yangwen style, with exquisite craftsmanship. The entire leather is dark in color, with a simple and neat design, presenting a quaint and elegant taste. This incense burner has high collection value and cultural
